Job Title: Web Designer

Location: Remote (Kenya and Somalia)

Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

• Create visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain the overall look and feel of the Ogaal Media Group’s online presence.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure a seamless user experience across various devices.

Graphic Design:

• Design graphics, images, and other visual elements to enhance website aesthetics.
• Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to produce engaging visual content.
• User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design:
• Conduct user research to understand the target audience and their preferences.
• Design intuitive and effective user interfaces that align with best UX practices.
• Optimize website navigation and functionality to enhance user satisfaction.

Coding and Programming:

• Proficiently use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement design elements and interactive features.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

Content Management:

• Update and manage website content, ensuring it remains accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
• Work with content creators to incorporate multimedia elements effectively.

Testing and Debugging:

• Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and fix bugs, issues, or inconsistencies.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content creation, and development, to align website design with overall business goals.

Stay Updated on Industry Trends:

• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices.
• Implement innovative design solutions to enhance the user experience.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with remote teams, providing regular updates on project progress.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.

Documentation:

• Maintain documentation for design processes, style guides, and best practices.
• Provide documentation for any custom code or design solutions implemented.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Web Designer or similar role.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment
